Stopped by Big Mama's on the Bayou for breakfast on a Monday morning and snagged a seat by the window with a beautiful view of the bayou. From the moment I walked in, the cozy, no-frills charm of the place set the tone for a true Southern comfort food experience. The coffee was spot-on--rich, smooth, and served without me even needing to ask for a water on the side (a small but appreciated touch). And the food? Absolutely out of this world. I went for the biscuits and gravy with a side of cheese grits that were so perfectly creamy and loaded with cheese, they should come with a warning label for how addictive they are. Service was fast, friendly, and exactly what you hope for in a classic country diner. If you're craving down-home, soul-warming cooking with a view, Big Mama's on the Bayou is the spot. I'll definitely be back.

One of our favorite places to eat when in Panama City! Cute restaurant with cool outdoor seating right on the bayou. Service was impeccable! We came in close to closing but the owner treated us like we were celebrities! Generous portions of delicious home-cooked-like meals! Everyone raved and raved about what they got! We will always go back and visit this place when we can!

Stopped by for breakfast this morning. Huge servings, great food and local hangout. Didn't feel like there were enough servers, but ours took care of us. Heard a couple of tables around us complaining. Always a stop for breakfast when we're there for the winter.

Amazing southern style fried chicken and delicious sides! The Mac and cheese is definitely one of my favorites!

If you like southern cooking, then this is the spot for you. Absolutely delicious every day they have different specials. Friday is seafood day which the only thing I can say is not my favorite considering you can get such great seafood in the area if you like southern cooking give this place a try only open for breakfast and lunch. They close really early. I haven't tried breakfast because lunch is so good

Huge portions and great food! We really enjoyed the breakfast. My wife had an all meat omelette and I had bacon and eggs. Very good food and decent service.

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and was not disappointed. The breakfast is mostly a la cart so you can order whatever you want. I went with eggs over easy, grits (wanted to try them), biscuit and gravy and crispy bacon. The staff was very attentive, the food was good (even the grits) and I thought the coffee was very good. Throw in a great view of the bayou and it was a perfect place for a little breakfast to start the day! (Note: this is southern cooking, so if you are looking for a fancy omelette or a bagel And cream cheese you will not find that here)
